Hi, I'm Catherine Bodry. I'm a freelance writer based in Anchorage, Alaska, but for the past few years I've spent my winters in Asia. I'm a fan of mountains, curry, second-class bus rides in developing countries, trail running, sleeping in my tent, and root beer floats.

I've driven across Alaska and Ontario, spent several nights aboard the Alaska Ferry, and bobbed around in Thailand's clear waters all while researching Lonely Planet guidebooks. I've also been published several times in Trail Runner Magazine, and wrote for AOL's travel blog Gadling from 2007 to 2011. Other places you'll find my work are on BBC.com/travel, in Fodor's, on MSN UK Travel, and many other print and web publications. Non travel or adventure-related contracts include annual and financial reports, newsletters and technical writing.

Have a look at my clips and send me an email at catherinebodry[at]gmail[dot]com if you'd like more information.
