Hi! I'm sorry I haven't written in awhile here, but it doesn't mean I haven't been writing. I just haven't been freelancing full-time, so my apologies for letting my website lapse a bit. Why don't we get caught up? Following are a few examples of what I've been up to:

I co-authored Lonely Planet Alaska for the third time. For this edition I had an epic sunny research trip in Southeast Alaska (it was really tempting to tell readers not to bother with a raincoat, but I know I just got really luck), where I rode bush planes and went running alongside glaciers. I also covered my favorite city: Anchorage.

From December 2014 to December 2016, I wrote newsletters and itineraries for the State of Alaska's travel website. I've linked to a few of my favorites:

In December 2016 I wrote a guide to travel in the Far North for Alaska Magazine

I co-wrote a guide to outdoors adventure in Alaska for Horizon guides - Alaska Adventures: A guide to exploring the Alaskan wilderness

These are just a few samples, while I get caught up on my links and whatnot. Besides writing, working, traveling to Thailand and Europe, I've taken up pack rafting and backcountry skiing. I'm loving new ways to explore Alaska and be in the mountains.
